The Republic of Namibia is situated in the Southwest point of Africa, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, bordered by South Africa in the South, Angola and Zambia in the North, and Botswana and Zimbabwe in the East. The oldest desert in the world, the Namib Desert, stretches along the whole West coast of the country, while the Kalahari Desert runs along its South-eastern border with Botswana.

"Ongoro Equestrian" is situated in the North of Namibia, about 5km from Grootfontein. Through the private wildpark,  we can do horseback riding through the beautiful green Savannah with her overwhelming abundance of flora and natural pools throughout most of the year, surrounded by a flourishing stock of game!
We can offer you natural tracks for horseback riding. Amongst the wealth of game, which also includes leopards, it is possible to see kudus, oryx, steenbok, hartebeests and warthogs. There are also plenty of small and big bird species to watch.
